If you are the account holder of a premises where multiple units are billed through one conventional (non-interval) meter, the premises is considered a Bulk Metered Multi-Unit Premises and you may be eligible to receive exemptions or consumption allowances for each eligible unit.
To determine if you qualify, kindly review the following Bulk Metered Multi-Unit Premises Declaration Forms. Please be advised that the definition of an eligible residential unit differs between each form.
Regulated Price Plan (RPP) – Tiered Pricing
The account may qualify to be billed under the RPP. As such, you may be eligible to receive the lower tier pricing which is applicable up to 600 kWh per month from May 1 to October 31 and 1,000 kWh from November 1 – April 30 for residential accounts, or 750kWh year-round for non-residential accounts. Consumption above those thresholds will be billed at the higher tier pricing.
Debt Retirement Charge (DRC)
As of January 1, 2016, if the premises has at least one Eligible Residential Unit you may be exempt, in whole or in part, up to a maximum of 1,500 kWh per eligible unit, from the requirement to pay the DRC.
