Customer Service Clerk

Bluewater Power Distribution Corporation is the founding member of the Bluewater Power Group of Companies, headquartered in Sarnia Ontario. A progressive local distribution company, Bluewater Power distributes power to over 35,000 customers in six Sarnia-Lambton communities.  The Bluewater Power Group of Companies also includes the following independent market driven private Corporations: Electek Power Services Inc., Bluewater Power Services Corporation, Bluewater Power Renewable Energy Inc., and Bluewater Regional Networks Inc.

The Customer Service Clerks’ role is to perform the daily functions associated with all aspects of customer services and customer billing. This is a full-time, permanent, union position.

Duties include:

  • Call customers to setup appointments for water meter services/replacements.
  • Work with external parties related to water maintenance and billing activities
  • Equal Payment plan review
  • Handle in-office distribution of new water meters to customer
  • Scan Customer Documents
  • Statistical analysis for various reporting requirements
  • Update SAP accounts with meter reading notes
  • Provide backup coverage to Cashier as needed
  • Provide Reception coverage: Greet clients in a courteous and professional manner and direct them to appropriate personnel; assist with customer inquiries.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary diploma in Business Administration or in a related discipline from an accredited educational institution
  • 2 to 5 years of utility experience is an asset
  • Must have the ability to work on their own and follow all company safety rules, policies and procedures
  • Ability to multi task
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced analytical abilities required
  • Working knowledge of the SAP Customer Service module is an asset
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to co-operate and communicate with all levels inside and outside the organization
  • Excellent public and human relations skills are essential
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Capacity to make decisions and give direction to customers

Hourly rate: $21.99 – $30.88
