Bluewater Power Services Corporation is a progressive local Services company providing electrical service to over 35,000 customers in the City of Sarnia (a community located along the beautiful shores of Lake Huron) and surrounding area.
This is a temporary, full-time, union position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary diploma in a related discipline from an accredited educational institution or equivalent experience
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License Class G
- Ability to become proficient with all utility meter reading equipment. (i.e. Itron Temetra, Versa-Probe, Honeywell Handheld).
- Basic computer skills
- Good public relations skills with fellow employees, customers and the public are essential.
- Industrial Safety Training required for access to prescribed general service locations.
- Must have the ability to work on their own and follow all company safety rules, policies and procedures.
JOB DUTIES:
- Read 200 to 400 water meters per day in all weather conditions (standards to be continually updated on a route by route basis) and enter information into meter reading equipment.
- May be required to provide customer final water meter readings, and provide meter read verifications.
- Backup Customer Service Field Representative coverage as required
- Perform disconnects and reconnects of electricity meters
- Perform credit and collection duties
- Validate premise and addresses and meter numbers as required
Hourly rate: $18.68 – $29.19
