Save on Energy Kids Drawing Contest – April 2026

Bluewater Power is excited to launch our Kids’ Save on Energy Drawing Contest to help young artists learn about energy conservation while having fun!
We invite children across Bluewater Power’s service area to show us their creativity by drawing ways we can save electricity at home, at school, or in our community.

2026 Theme – Be an Energy Saver!

Kids can draw simple ways to save electricity, such as:

• Turning off lights when leaving a room
• Using energy-efficient LED light bulbs
• Using natural sunlight during the day
• Unplugging electronics when not in use
• A fun “Energy Saver Superhero” helping families save power

Age Categories

• Grades 1 – 3
• Grades 4 – 6

How Winners Are Selected

All submissions will be reviewed by the Bluewater Power Conservation team, and finalists will be selected from each age category based on:

• Creativity
• How well the drawing shows ways to save energy
• Overall presentation and effort

Winners will be announced in April 2026, and selected artwork may be featured in:

• Bluewater Power bill inserts
• Social media posts
• The Bluewater Power website
• Community energy awareness campaigns

Exciting Prizes to Be Won!

Top artists will receive public recognition and fun prizes, including:

• Pizza party for your classroom
• Movie passes
• Laser Tag passes
• Super Ninja passes
• And more!

How to Enter

1. Create a drawing on 8.5″ x 11″ white paper
2. Use lots of colour and creativity to show how to save energy

When submitting, please include:

• Child’s name and age
• Parent/guardian name
• Parent/guardian phone number
