Technology Services Coordinator
Bluewater Power Distribution Corporation is the founding member of the Bluewater Power Group of Companies, headquartered in Sarnia Ontario. A progressive local distribution company, Bluewater Power distributes power to over 35,000 customers in six Sarnia-Lambton communities. The Bluewater Power Group of Companies also includes the following independent market driven private Corporations: Electek Power Services Inc., Bluewater Power Services Corporation, Bluewater Power Renewable Energy Inc., and Bluewater Regional Networks Inc.
The Technology Services Coordinator supports the organization’s technology operations through administrative coordination, asset tracking, vendor liaison activities, and Tier 2 end-user support. This role focuses on ensuring accurate records, timely renewals, effective user access administration, and consistent service delivery across software, telecom, cybersecurity training, and physical security systems. The position emphasizes operational coordination, documentation, compliance tracking, and escalation-based technical support rather than advanced engineering or architecture responsibilities.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Duties include:
- Oversee software licensing and maintenance renewals, maintaining accurate entitlement records, coordinating vendor quotes and renewals, monitoring usage, and identifying optimization and cost-saving opportunities
- Manage corporate telecom services, including mobile device lifecycle administration (orders, activations, upgrades, deactivations), vendor liaison, billing review, and corporate plan management
- Lead technology asset management across the full lifecycle, including procurement support, asset tagging, inventory control, audits, depreciation tracking, refresh planning, and secure retirement/disposal
- Coordinate and administer corporate cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including training campaigns, phishing simulations, compliance tracking, reporting to leadership, and support of applicable regulatory requirements
- Support administration of physical security systems, including access control (badge provisioning and privilege management), surveillance and intrusion detection systems, access reviews, and alignment with HR onboarding/offboarding processes
- Provide Tier-2 support for end user technology inquiries related to software access, licensing, mobility, and asset management, escalating issues as appropriate
- Assist with budgeting inputs, forecasting, vendor performance tracking, and contract documentation management
- Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base resources to support operational continuity
- Participate in IT initiatives and cross-functional projects aimed at improving efficiency, compliance, and service delivery
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Three or more years of experience in operations, asset management, procurement, telecom administration, or similar role.
- Experience managing software contracts or licensing programs is an asset.
- Experience with cybersecurity awareness training platforms is an asset.
- Working knowledge of IT asset management (ITAM) principles and tools.
- Familiarity with software licensing types (subscription, perpetual, enterprise agreements, user/device licensing).
- Good understanding of mobile device ecosystems (iOS/Android) and corporate mobility practices.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools for audit, tracking, and compliance reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Position requires occasional lifting of technology equipment (up to 20 lbs).
- May require occasional after-hours or weekend work during renewal deadlines, system updates, or key training cycles.
- A valid Class ‘G’ drivers license is required
Annual Salary: $75,000 – $96,000 (for qualified candidates)
